The Wicked Stick — This is the only John Daly signature course in the United States. It’s one of the more golfer-friendly courses on the Grand Strand. In true John Daly fashion, this course is made for big hitters and has no fairway bunkers.<br /><br />3. Avocet at Wild Wing Plantation — This challenging golf course — in addition to its tough playability - was named South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association 2002 — 2003 Golf Course of the Year. Its uniqueness also garnered it four stars from "Golf Digest." Avocet is not for beginners.<br /><br />4. Myrtlewood — Myrtlewood is about the accommodations as much as the golf. Outstanding amenities and proximity to the beach and nightlife have secured Myrtlewood as a celebrated favorite. Full access to two beautiful golf courses — PineHills and The Palmetto — only add to its allure.<br /><br />5. Farmstead — At the northern end of Myrtle Beach, Farmstead's 18th hole has been selected by <span style="font-style: italic;">Golf Digest </span>as one of the "Top 18 Most Fun Holes in America." This par six, 767 yard monster has inspired the joke, "You tee off in South Carolina and putt in North Carolina."<br /><br />Myrtle Beach golf offers one of the most varied arrays of courses in the world.
